Shelter Volunteer Orientation for the 2016-2017 Season

The Safe Space Shelter Volunteer Orientation for the 2016-2017 season is scheduled November 16 and 28, 2016 at 6:30 pm at First Christian Church, 295 E. Washington Ave.  All volunteers are encouraged to attend one of the two nights (the same material will be presented both nights) to learn how the shelter will function this season, and how volunteers are coordinated.

Planning for winter of 2016-2017 is underway.

If you would like to help with planning the winter shelter program for 2016-2017, please join us at the Safe Space Planning meeting, 7-12-16 at 6:30 pm at the Chico Peace and Justice Center.  We need people willing to do all types of jobs - there is something for everyone, from intake, to transporting cots and bedding, to cooking, to laundry, to volunteer training, to overnight monitoring.  If you would like to join a team or share your ideas, please let us know.
